Excellent trip to Legoland!

Well,If you have a leader like Vojta, your trip cant be quiet okay;it must be excellent!Everything was planned before, tickets for enterance and bus were ready and also erasmus students having easter break were ready as well!We tried nearly every game and enjoyed the legoland. The weather let us to have a nice time, too.I prepared a bread like Indians!Laser game, splasing canoes, toys, planes for mainly children(but we were like children :)),snack time and etc etc! Being together and having an amazing time ! good memories from my first and maybe the last easter break in europe :)
Ps:Actually my easter break was full of first experiences. It is a tradition in europe to prepare some colurful eggs and buying some egg chocolates. The reason why they use eggs to celebrate this day is to show the meaning of new life. These are the general knowledge about this day buuuutttt Czech people has a different tradition!:) in the early morning they went our home to thrugh some water on us to make us fresh with their handmade natural stick! It is unforgetable...

New language:Danish

The differences between Danish and Turkish are completely in the opposite way. That's why at the first time that I was trying to pronounce the sentences was like a language shock for me. I expected more information about pronouncation because it was the hardest part for me. I usually forgot how could I pronouncate the questions. After a while I found a way with myself to keep the sounds of sentences in memory. It was useful for one lesson after that I forgot. We played number game with a ball very quickly. We did not have a problem with plusses and minuses except throughing balls to each others:) Unfortunately we have continued the games until the lesson finished. It could have been better if we used time useful. Here are the sentences that I learned:
-hvordan gar get?
-hvad hedder du?
-hvor kommer du fra?
-hvad taler du?
Actually the last lesson was the best lesson !We prepared a kind of presentation which has our traditional meals' ingredients and some pictures and all words were in Danish! We had to search for them and this is the most important point for me that we can integrate the words into daily life.Because if you are in abroad and unfortunately you do not know the language, you should learn language as possible as quickly and sure in the right way:) After that time whenever I go to supermarket,I almost know the names of fruits, vegetables and meats.
Nonetheless,I like listening more than speaking in Danish :)
Tak !

First week of my school experience

Most importantly part of erasmus from my point has started.Even we went school for just 4 days,I was influenced by school, teachers and children.Always they sing in the morning for 15 minutes in a big holl. There were 4-5-6 classes together and they were in great harmony when they were singing!Teachers could keep the silence easily.I learned from our guide teacher that it is not the same implementation with the other schools. It depends on the association that includes parents and teachers who are responsible for decisions about the pupils. Now they have an idea that watching the news before lessons and try to make comments and talk about solutions about some disasters. In my opinion,iı would be useful for them in daily life.Great idea;)Book commercial was so effectual, teacher explained what they are and, as far as I can understand ,talked about the summaries. They were new books in their library...
She always starts lessons by writing roughly plan on the board.Their books which have chosen by the teacher have lots of stories about daily math.It means not only division and multiplication on the paper are important to be good at math but also adapting and relating to daily life are important, more important actually...They think that you can find a calculator to find the result of examples in everywhere but unless you know where you use this result or why you solved the problem, it wont work anymore. That is true!

Sometimes they were being tested while they supposed that they were in a competition with lotf of fun.It was the other side of Danish educational system.Colourfull classes,as much as possible qualified materials,Games about subjects,Stories about Math,Combining with related subjects(for example math and science) and etc...You are being educated when you are learning how can I learn to learn ;)

I met a girl who is really clever and able to speak English,as well. She just started to draw her hands by the real sculpture--)her hands! Spontaneous cue explained that right lobe of brain is more active than left one. Thus creativeness, skills on painting, drawing, sculpture, writing, reading are more improved than the other subjects as I could realize in Denmark.

Biology time!It is usual to relate two subjects and put together to combine with previous known knowledge and will be learned knowledge.Microscopes are more less 10 out of the cabinet for 2 by 2 group working.Communication and axchange of information are in every lesson! It is not related being social or numeric lesson.

How can I guess that I gather from spaghetti to division, multiplication about decimal!Afterwards instead of eating spaghetti,How can I except that I will create a new design of spaghetti castle or whatever you imagine.Still it is continuing with presentation. It was my best experience about this school! I got the point to put into practice!

One of my opinions about Danish educational system is not only from memories even they have to find the result of 7*8.I asked two pupils the question, they started to write all numbers goes the result!7-14-21-28-35-42-49-56! The way of multiplication is also different then we do in Turkey. We dont need to write all numbers,it makes us slow to solve all examples that are compulsory to pass exams.

Teacher is excellent! She knows their learning way and when they start to be bored.Patience, trust, responsibility between pupils and teacher and parents! She cooked a cake with bonbons to serve all class beacuse they have 4 lessons together and it is a bit intensive for them.Great way to relax!

To sum up,whereever you are, experiences make you more than you are!During the week I found myself in my chaotic thoughts while comparing all details and surfaces about educational system.Perfect decision for me to become a Mathematic teacher !

Drama in Aabenra...

From embryo to the newborn child...Go through your sense that you can realize while you are traveling into your soul! Start to feel your organ in order and decide which one will be your first! Focus on this organ and try to imagine how it can work and why I have this! Make up your fantasy ! Create your own world and put yourself into this darkness' shine...

Can you see the staffs that are lying on the ground ? Everyone includes some meaning which can be found at the first sight or when you touched and tried before. You are growing up and noone is here now. It means, you have no boards and no rules that make you unfree and inhibited. You can use a ball for eating as a meatball,no one could say you stop! You can choise your way that makes you right and human being!

Maybe you found a friend who is different than you as profile because of his/her mask.If you want to know somebody,go through her/his emotional world like you did in the first for your world to recognize yourself.Find out the differences and similarities...

It was really amazing experience for me. Afterwards we prepared a drama for an emotional and strong music.Behind the masks you can feel your body's movement more...Drama lesson was perfect !

The second station of Danish schools-Favrdalskolen!

Favrdalskolen has 3 big buildings that are seperate from each others and for the pupils from different ages. The roads in the school are a bit complicated to find the right way. But maybe it works about map reading or will be useful for improving brain streets :) Anyway,we met the headmaster of the school who was very kind and like a normal teacher in his casual clothes not in suits. We looked around and saw some classes each of special and normal.

If somebody has disabilty of pyhsical, they are intagreted to normal classes. In normal classes, two teacher are ready to help them. One of them is especially for the special one. That's why they have enough time to be individual and find out the personal way goes solution.Population in the classes can not be more than 25.If I compare this situation to Turkey,we have classes which contains more than 25 pupils as normal. And again in normally we have one teacher each class. Sometimes can be 2 teachers but one of them is here as an assistant.

If somebody has learning disability, they have special classes to be integrated to society. They do not have to learn mathematics, physics, chemistry at all.Teachers try to teach them social skills. In this point, you can realize that the common question is in Denmark 'what can you do for society' and then just do it! you do not have to spend your time to things that you cant do anymore. They know your abilities and learning capasity. Individual system really works!Students in Turkey have to learn all knowledge about all lessons even it wont be useful in the future for their career or job.In speacil classes, curriculum is different than normal schools'.If some special pupils are seperate and in private schools, the teacher have a chance to be individual thus the system works. In public schools, not only pupils who have disabiltiybut also brilliant pupils have not got an useful chance to get educaiton individual way.

There was also another method to take the child who has a problem spesific subject to other special class for intensive courses to overcome the problem.

Materials, paintings, classes without doors, art classes, computers are the other interesting things for me.

To sum up,It was my first experience about special needs education. But it really affected me to search some disabilities abput my branch such as dyscalculia.Great for me...School experience lessons are my favourite;)

Aesthetic way of learning and teaching...

Music and sport! It was hard to adapt knowledge and practices to my branch in order to improve my skills and give more educaiton to my pupils in the lesson. Even I could not integrate whole information process in aestetic way,I have no doubt about all of them will be useful for me. Actually it will be more different than ours.

What did we do in music class? And how can I adapt these to my branch?

Usually we tried to be in harmony and follow to rythm. Sometimes new songs, dramas, movements that adapted to song were found by us. Composing songs to different face styles is the other activity. In Math, first you have to clean your brain from staffs and unnecessary things. You shoul be relax when you are thinking about problems, examples and theories! Probably,Music is the best way to be meditative. Just let the tunes to open your brain in soft way ! Afterwards,It wont be enough just solving problems and knowing all theories when you can not create or find the other and unknown one to be the best! Play wtih numbers like being harmony all together, think on other possibilities like composing the new song! Before lessons, let the pupils to listen classis music !(I saw it in my practise in Denmark) Finally, maybe not only the sufficient Math lesson but the inconceivable Math lesson will work in my career:) I hope so!

What did we do in Physical education class? How can I adapt these to my branch, too?

Movement! Run ! Jump ! Catch the ball :) Teach your fantasy game... The difference between sport and music class is just teaching the game that you made it with the equipments you selected. Thus the most important thing in Math; create and explain(demonstrate) could be concrete by playing games.

I enjoed these lessons! They influenced me,it means I got the point ;)

About Ribe !

Ribe is the oldest city in Denmark ,that's why we have seen much small and traditional houses with history smell. It was the first time I have ever seen an 'art' school called 'UHR - Ungdomshøjskole ved Ribe' that was amaazing! If ı had a chance to take all classes photo,it would be great. Unfortunately there was a party which they said to it 'eighty's party' can make them a little bit drunk so they locked all the doors until sunday. But I will try to give you fantasy of classes.
First of all,you dont need to be talented of spesific branch of art. It is enough to have desire to do something for them and some money as well. Our friend gives 40.000 krons for each year for education, foods, sheltering and some metarials can be needed.I want to say that it was not like usual schools. They just want to you do something whatever you want. They have lots of leisure time to do something as well. there were many seperate rooms that are open all the days except party days:) with special metarials. It was the most different thing for me if I compare to Turkey. Everywhere is open for them and they are allowed to do whatever they want and use schools' materials without permission. In Turkey,In my opinion because of over-population, schools' rules are very distinct about laboratories or art classes such as dont touch or dont use it etc. The rules make us a bit timorous. The reason why our didactics focus on books and teacher is that. On the other hand, if you are in private school that has not got any money and population diffuculties, you are allowed to do something with your fantasy and just yourself. In Ribe, they have buildings with special classes and rooms in a big area like a little city.Painting rooms, music rooms full of instruments, design rooms, woodwork classes, theatre saloons...The school is for two years and at the age of 15-19. They have computers ( I have already adjusted myself to see this:) ) and internet of course. And weekends 2 responsible teacher stay with them to take care.In their huge saloon there was a piano, pool, table tennis and tv that was called 'lazy people's tv by them. It was funny:)
The other part of our trip was walking in the town and sightseeing. The other first thing that we joined in a ceremony in Cathedral. If we know Danish,it would be better the next time ;) We felt the athmosphere and emotion in the songs except the understanding of text.
Travelling, learning different things, being participant and already adapted of erasmus help me to compare and be aware of the main purposes. Excellent!!

Atmosphere of rain forest in National Museum...

Relax after walking for a long time is the best situation I have ever had in the Copenhagen :) Not at all,of course. Sounds of nature within snakes, monkeys, waterfall, birds, etc and figures of native tribe made me excited. I am always wondering how can they alive although they are in the wild and how can they live within. It must be amazing ! I have a desire that I really want to go these areas to help them and not only for this reason but also I want to learn their tradition and viewpoints about everything.
National Museum is the largest museum of Denmark. It was really amazing for me. Especially tha part of Rain Forest :)

In my opinion....

Leaving their home country, living their habitual home...Different people with similar culture gave us knowledge about Denmark and its education, economy, etc. Then I realized what the mean of hygge when the time is 3 a.m :) Just discussion took us different worlds and put us to the ground and waited until it was over. We have students and parents. Seyhan and I will be a teacher as well. It means we have teachers' glass on our eyes even we are still students. Thus students from Denmark and Turkey. Only one student is Danish. The certain objest is difference, sure:)
In my opinion, they have lots of chances to get good jobs such as teacher, engineer, doctor or like that. Beside all of them they can be shop assistant, waiter in quality places etc when they are 16. I could not believe the amount of money which is given from government to the youth graduated from high school. It is enough to live when you are working in somewhere, it is better than to be noone. So they said to us 'we dont want to go to university ,graduating from high schools is enough to get job and at the same time the money is also enough to live.'. I was shocked. The other interesting point is they all aggreed with this absurd idea.
In Turkey, we can not say it. Even we are graduated from university, it is possible not to get job in first year maybe until you make some remarkable things and create supernaturel staffs! We have no chance to say 'dont want '. We have to improve ourselves and know whole information about our department.
Richness is principally important thing in this step. Beside all opinions, improving ourselves is the other subject. For instance,we are all erasmus students who came from different countries and were not observed by someone. Just to improve our characteristic,English and add different behaviour comes from relationship with the others make us an adult. It is our desire. I definetely aggree that educational system in Denmark amazing! Near it I have to say there is no awareness about real life among youth...

I am a Turkish so....

Dancing in Turkish style! Mainly, Most of us interested in dancing and sing a song in special way of course! We called this style 'çifte telli' , I can not translate it to English. In Our weddings and the other celebrations we always do this style of dance. Music rhythms, especially sounds of drums create our the other traditional dance called belly dance:) I missed my all friends. It was new year party and we really enjoyed the night. I want to dance with them in the possible short time again...:')

Turkish coffee and some figures on traditional plate shows our fortune:) That is not all true of course,Just drinking and chatting about it makes us relax and energitic. I really like to drink it so I am a Turk!

That's why we have a little umbilicus is that delicious meal! I am a Turk beacuse I usually prefer to eat it to something else. It is better for us, of course, with AYRAN :) Yoghurt with water and salt. At the same time we drink it cause of being a Turk as well...

Black tea... Smells like friendship with a lot of laugh. Talking with each others with a couple of tea is the most important think for us,in common. Breakfast, lunch time or whenever you want is the time to drink it. Tea is not only a drink for us, just to be together when we need it. I chat with my friends with tea in the traditional glass that's why I am a Turk;)

Kissing our relatives hands in speacial days(religius feast especially) is the most interesting heritage about Turkish people in my opinion. To show our respects and protect our tradition we do this behaviour because we are Turkish!

Another different traditional behaviour! Especially in feasts and speacial days(for instance before getting married there is a meeting with the other family members, cologne is used in this situation also) we use it that's why we are Turkish:) it makes you fresh as well, try it :)

Yeah! Gammon,we called it TAVLA! I am a Turk so I like playing this game with my friends. But do not forget to drink tea playing TAVLA;)

P.C:It is my own picture :)

Show imagination,get information!

It was the one of my best exercises. Language and identity is our lessons' name. We have to think about our languages' color and where and which shape we painted in the figure. It was very enjoyable time I have lived in Haderslev. My imagination with my colors was in my figure. By that way, knowledge was not only individual stuff in the books also in our brains therefore we got the main purpose within the exercise. Actually, Danish educational system wants to us show imagination and then get information!

I do want to explain my figure abot my language portrait. My brain is full of BLUE. The color means freedom and sky for everyone who agreed about only this color's code. Feelings, ideas, opinions and just everything in my brain and heart could have signified in mother tongue is Turkish for me. To feel like you are in the sky and to say sth easily are possible when you are talking in your mother tongue.
If you want to travel a lot, you have to speak in English. Stepping to another country's color is brown in my dream. High arrow will help me to get the language as my mother tongue one day:)
Orange and fun! Match these words cause of senses of orange like they are smiling:) I can not speak in German except known and mainly centences such as wer bist du ;) Nevertheless, ı can write much more sentences like doing a puzzle by my hand, sure.
The other languages what they will need a ground to grow up in my body. White is for you, my dream languages , in this way your color will not change anymore...

And the last exercise is writing poem to which color you choiced. Here is my poem...

POEM FOR MY BLUE SKY!

Freedom!
Blue sky...
In my brain.
I feel so free!
Explain...

Sinem HIZLI:)
(Of course,we had to write it in speacial way. for instance having just 11 words in the poem is the main rule.)

About our first presentation...

It was the first time we introduced our country and our leader called Mustafa Kemal ATATURK. Our flag and our map are here. Red and white on the smart board and on my clothes, too. We have not got enough time to explain who is ATATURK and what is the main topic and idea about Turkey. We selected just shortest way goes to main idea. Talking about him made me very excited. When I mentioned him to someone, I would like to him/her to be aware of something that is important for Turkey. While you are listening our real stories about Turkey without him, you can see differences between two portraits. It is clear and unbelievable. I will not talk about reforms he made for Turkey, so long to write and so diffucult to explain clearly. All of them extremely represents what cleverness is.

Everybody knows that what is the meaning of bridge in the world. Asia and Europe are closed by the Bosphorus. It shows that we have many kind of cultures and we are happy to live this richness. We could not show all panoramas of Turkey, sure. But it was realy good experience for me to talk about Turkey. I realized something, when my friends asked about pictures, I don't know well whole cities and their panoramas. There are many different colors from different cities. I thought that I will travel in Turkey after finish my erasmus course:) And It is good country to travel. In my opinion, It is also useful to feel warm and cold at the same time in different cities. Swimming and skiing are possible in the same season. Just an advice,We will look forward to see guests in our country:)

An amazing experience in Danish schools!

First of all, I want to say that we have lots of differences about educational system.

  1. Revival for the lessons

  2. Population in the class

  3. Using technology

  4. The way of teaching objects and lessons

  5. Pupils' viewpoints and behaviours

  6. Chance to do something

Singing and talking together is the best way to revival in the morning I've ever seen . By this way, they can open their brain before the lessons. This is just the beginning to open their brains. It continued during the lessons. Brain storms, to major on the main idea, using their fantasy on their homework and exercises...We have not got an implementation like that.

They are just 15-20 students in each class. Population is so enough to teach and learn. In Turkey,(It depends on cities but I mean It is in general),25-50 students can be in the same class. It is normal. Private schools is not like that,of course but public schools have lots of students although they have less classes. If we have not got many clever pupils, our educational system can not do lots of things to make us better.

When teacher said them it is time to start, they went out and took their computers from technology room. They started to do their homeworks and focus on this point-----> only homeworks were done ! It is an amazing detail for me because whenever students have a computer in Turkey, they start to search something on the net,see some pictures maybe join facebook:) I thought that It is normal before I came here. I realized that If you find computers easily, you dont need to do these kind of things. There is an another situation that you must be conscious about using computers. They have smart boards in all classes.

It was a mathematic lesson. They talked about what will we need when we want to make a square. It was just like a recipe. They thought about this, they found some deficiency in their conversations and in the and They have learned all details about square. In Turkey, firstly we have to learn all details from lessons and books. Than we start to do lots of exercises about object.

The other difference is similar to the third. Teacher went out in the lesson and silence was kept out by the students. It was interesting condition and athmosphere for me.

On the other hand,In denmark,Students are lucky to have chance to find something they wonder or study. It is so easy to use technology because of government and consciusly teachers. They have a power to do all things. Less population is the other object that is important to give education. All of qualities, I mentioned, make them better.

Comparative studies

8 different countries from all over Europe! We will have a kind of map to understand the way of learning and teaching different ways on this lessons. It makes me excited. In my opınıon most of the educational systems in the world similar on the papers. But their cultures, viewpoints, personalities, ideas can make lots of differences among them. But the question is who is 'they'? They are teachers,of course! Teaching to ask why,to be sensitive for the others to pupil,to aim independently,to think democratically are the most important responsibilities for teachers. We have to imagine, dream about something, have experience by our fantasies as students. Maybe we have a puzzle! Lets play the game :)

The first day of my life in haderslev!

Travelling... Travelling... And travelling again:) Yes,I like travelling but it was very tiring experience for me. I flied and It was the first time in my life. It was night and everywhere was black. While we were getting closer to floor,I saw a big area full of white. I have not seen a photo like that. Lights and snow were dancing together and It made me very excited to be there. We met lots of people from Denmark and from Turkey. Firstly,a man who was working in airport smiled me when I said to him _god formiddag_. We talked about Denmark and what is erasmus. Just a word can open a lot of doors,I learned it by this way. As far as I see Danish people smile a lot. It makes them very sweet. I can say easily because an another man who was working on the train smiled at us every time:) At the same time he helped us to take our luggage into the train. These are my first experiencesabout Danish people. It was important and these are all ok;)
